Connection
Intimacy
The social glue that holds us all together
The thief comes
Only to steal
And kill
And destroy
I have come that they may have life
And have it to the full (John 10:10)
We cannot let them divide us
Uniting is the only way
Fear is not of God
Nor are falsehoods
Or false promises
We must march forward
Changing direction if necessary
With love in our hearts
And joy leading the field
In the midst of all this madness
God is doing something
And it’s BIG
He’s calling us to let go of the old
And make way for the new
He does not require us to bow down to false prophets
Or take poison into our veins
For the false promise of freedom
In fact
He says NO
A loud resounding NO
HE will provide
We are being called to step into the unknown
We will be lead to safety
As we let go of everything
Trust in Him
With all our heart
And all our mind
And all our might
Trust in Him
And move forward in faith
We will not be disappointed
No
We will be surprised and amazed
And our wildest dreams will come true
But our part is to stand
Wearing the full weight
And power
And glory
Of God’s armour
Finally, be strong in the Lord
And in His mighty power
Put on the full armour of God
So that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:10-11)
So that when the day of evil comes
You may be able to stand your ground
And after you have done everything
To stand
Stand firm then
With the belt of truth buckled around your waist
With the breastplate of righteousness in place
And with your feet fitted
With the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace
In addition to all this
Take up the shield of faith
With which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows
Of the evil one
Take the helmet of salvation
And the sword of the Spirit
Which is the word of God
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions
With all kinds of prayers and requests
With this in mind, be alert
And always keep on praying
For all the Lord’s people (Ephesians 6:13-18)
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On Earth as it is in Heaven (Matthew 6:10)
