Prophetic Vision - 25th July 2024
The Feet of God
I saw a pair of giant feet standing on the Mount of Olives, one on each side, splitting it in two and I instinctively knew these feet to be the feet of God.
When I searched the bible for confirmation, as always God revealed what He had shown me.
This vision relates to the day of the LORD that is coming when He gathers all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it.
Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as He fights on a day of battle.
On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. (Zechariah 14:1-4)
A Sign of The Times
With everything that is going on with Israel at the moment, it seems that the end times are drawing close, and this prophetic vision leads me to believe that this will happen in our lifetime.
I had no idea that this was even in the bible and I was blown away by the description of events that were exactly what I had seen.
God Himself will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it, only to then go out and fight against the nations He gathered.
This is because they rejected Him, as shown when God sends the Assyrians as the rod of His anger, in whose hand is the club of His wrath, against Israel, a godless nation.
God dispatched them to seize loot and snatch plunder, and to trample them down like mud in the streets. (Isaiah 10:5-6)
The Way of Holiness
When God's feet stands on the Mount of Olives, it will be split in two forming a great valley, a passage of safety for His children.
Jerusalem will flee by it, as they fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah.
Then the LORD will come, and all the holy ones with Him. (Zechariah 14:5)
And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. (Isaiah 35:8)
A Return to Zion
No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast, only the redeemed will walk there, and those the LORD has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. (Isaiah 35:9-10)
God said that He will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem.
Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City, and the mountain of the LORD Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain. (Zechariah 8:3)
A Unique Day
On that day there will be neither sunlight nor cold, frosty darkness.
It will be a unique day - a day known only to the LORD - with no distinction between day and night. When evening comes, there will be light. (Zechariah 14:6-7)
The day of the LORD is a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness.
On this day, the LORD's mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor ever will be in ages to come.
Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste - nothing escapes them. (Joel 2:1-3)
The LORD Will Be King
On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:8) and the LORD will be king over the whole earth.
On that day there will be one LORD, and His name the only name.
The whole land will become like Arabah, a harsh, arid wilderness.
But Jerusalem will be raised up high, and will remain in its place.
It will be inhabited; never again will it be destroyed. Jerusalem will be secure. (Zechariah 14:9-11)
Judgement on Israel's Neighbours
The LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem with a plague.
Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.
On that day people will be stricken by the LORD with great panic.
They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another. (Zechariah 14:11-13)
Such is the fate of the godless sinners.
Rend Your Heart
The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful.
God tells us to rend our heart and not our garments.
Return to the LORD our God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity.
Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing.
Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly. (Joel 2:11-14)
The LORD Reigns
The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected - great quantities of gold and silver and clothing.
A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.
Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.
If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain.
And the LORD will bring on them the plague He inflicts on all nations that do not take part. (Zechariah 14:14-18)
HOLY TO THE LORD
On that day HOLY TO THE LORD will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, and the cooking pots in the LORD's house will be like the sacred bowls in front of the altar.
Every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to the LORD Almighty, and all who come to sacrifice will take some of the pots and cook in them.
And on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD Almighty. (Zechariah 14:20-21)
The Canaanites are pagan idol worshippers, who bring destruction on themselves as the LORD is a jealous God and will not be mocked.
The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. (Psalm 24:1)
Ascending The Mountain of The LORD
Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD?
Who may stand in His holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Saviour.
Such is the generation of those who seek Him. (Psalm 24:3-6)
