Prophetic Revelation - 29th October, 2025
As I sat, pondering God's latest revelations, following a long stint of a total lack of productivity due to a lack of motivation, as a result of seemingly nothing working, the solution began to become clear.
I realised that I needed to fashion a sword of the Spirit to fight against the enemy in order to win the battle, that I was currently losing.
Having had a tough day the day before writing this, the devil's many schemes are beginning to come in to view, and I find myself needing to understand how he gets in, in order to keep him out.
The devil gets in through our open doors, which we need to be conscious and aware of in order to keep them closed, and these include our eyes, ears, nose, heart, mouth and even our private parts.
We have to be careful what we watch, who we listen to, what we inhale, our sensitivities, what comes out of our mouth and also what goes in, and who we allow into our sacred space on a sexual level, as all of these areas are openings and easy access points for the enemy.
The Armour of God
The bible teaches us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
To put on the full armour of God, so that we can take our stand against the devil's schemes, so that when the day of evil comes, we may be able to stand our ground, and after we have done everything, to stand.
This means that we must be armed in preparation, it's too late to put our fighting equipment on once the enemy is in our camp, we need to be dressed, ready, with our sword in our hand.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
The armour of God includes 7 things - the belt of truth buckled around our waist, the breastplate of righteousness, our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:10-17)
The Word of God
The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God, and is the one piece of armour that encompasses all the others.
John tells us that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:1-4)
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. The apostles saw the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
The Word Is A Person
When the bible uses a capital letter, in this case, capital W for Word, this is to make clear that this refers to a person of high rank and real authority.
Therefore, the Word is a person (Jesus), and the word is a truth (the gospel) and a tool with which we can create life or death, light or dark.
God spoke all things into being by using the spoken word to create, such as when He said "Let there be light," and there was light. (Genesis 1:3)
And in Jesus all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. (Colossians 1:16)
This means that we ourselves were created in Jesus, and also through him and for him, because Jesus is God, and when we take action of any kind, we must be mindful of the Presence in whom we stand.
The Power of The Word
The word of God is powerful.
Jesus, the Word of God, is almighty.
The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. (Proverbs 12:18)
The sword of the Spirit, the word of God can destroy or create, kill or cure and speak death or life, we must wield it masterfully, with respect, precision and focus.
We are not to get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. (Ephesians 5:18-19)
The Truth, The Life & The Way
As I meditate on this weapon, I begin to get a greater understanding of my position as a daughter of the Sovereign LORD, who has overcome every spirit that is not from God, as the One who is in me is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:1-4)
Jesus said that he is the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through him (John 14:16), giving very clear instruction as to which way is the right way.
Jesus is the gate keeper, telling us to enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
Ask and it will be given to us; seek and we will find; knock and the door will be opened to us. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)
The sword of the Spirit is the sword of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, and we must therefore ask for guidance on how to use it, seek God's will in each moment and knock on the door that we want Him to open.
Love Is The Way
Jesus said that the greatest commandment in the Law is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. (Matthew 22:35-37)
In fact, the first three commandments are centred on God - to have no other gods before Him, not to take the Lord's name in vain and to remember to keep the Sabbath holy.
In order to truly love God, we are to love our neighbour as ourself, as love does no harm, this is the fulfilment of the law. (Romans 13:10)
We are called to love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
God showed His love among us by sending His one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (1 John 4:7-10)
Being Like Jesus
Since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.
We know that we live in Him and He in us because He has given us of His Spirit. (1 John 4:11-13)
The apostles saw and testified that the Father sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
We are to rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
Love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, by in this world, being like Jesus. (1 John 4:14-17)
Perfect Love
There is no fear in love.
But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.
The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
We love because He first loved us.
Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen, and God commanded anyone who loves Him to love our brother and sister. (1 John 4:17-21)
The Right Word At The Right Time
Therefore, we need to choose the right word at the right time, with which to pierce someone's heart with, to bring them back into the way, the truth and the life, of Jesus, whilst being Jesus ourselves.
This sounds like a tall order, but we need only to be still and wait on God, remembering that the LORD Himself goes before us and will be with us; He will never leave us or forsake us. Do not be afraid or discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8)
If anyone does attack us, it will not be God's doing; whoever attacks us will surrender to us.
God created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work and He also created the destroyer to wreak havoc; no weapon forged against us will prevail, and we will refute every tongue that accuses us.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is our vindication from God, declares the LORD. (Isaiah 54:15-17)
Every Knee Will Bow
Before God every knee will bow; by Him every tongue will swear. They will say of Him, 'In the LORD alone are deliverance and strength.' All who have raged against Him will come to Him and be put to shame. (Isaiah 45:23-24)
We are to submit ourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from us. (James 4:7)
We bow only to the Sovereign LORD, not to temptation or the enemy, who we must resist and fight against, breaking his heart of stone, breaking the shackles he tries to hold us in and taking authority in Jesus' name.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)
We are to trust God implicitly, standing fearlessly on His promises and having faith, which is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1)
The LORD Is My Shepherd
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23)
Giving Thanks
I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of Your name, O Most High.
My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before You.
For You have upheld my right and my cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.
You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name for ever and ever. (Psalm 9:1-5)
Endless Ruin Overtakes Our Enemies
Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, You have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.
The LORD reigns forever; He has established His throne for judgement.
He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity.
The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in You, for You, LORD have never forsaken those who seek You. (Psalm 9:6-10)
God Does Not Ignore The Cries of The Afflicted
Sing the praises of the LORD, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what He has done.
For He who avenges blood remembers; He does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.
LORD, see how my enemies persecute me!
Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death, that I may declare Your praises in the gates of Daughter Zion, and there rejoice in Your salvation.
The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden. (Psalm 9:11-15)
Justice & Righteousness
The LORD is known by His acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.
The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God. But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.
Arise, LORD, do not let mortals triumph; let the nations be judged in Your Presence.
Strike them with terror, LORD; let the nations know they are only mortal. (Psalm 9:16-20)
In You LORD, we trust, Amen.
